Explore Granville’s architecture and history during Ohio Open Doors. The Robbins Hunter Museum, Granville Historical Society Museum and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church are participating together, offering free experiences at three historic locations within easy walking distance of one another.

Robbins Hunter Museum Tour: A Greek Revival Masterpiece

Step inside one of America’s finest Greek Revival homes. Visitors can enjoy guided tours at the Robbins Hunter Museum at the Avery-Downer House and learn what makes the house one of the nation’s outstanding examples of Greek Revival architecture.

A special exterior architectural tour will highlight the museum’s iconic Ionic columns and other distinctive design features. Inside, visitors can explore elegant rooms including the formal parlor, ladies’ parlor, doctor’s office and more while discovering the people and stories that shaped this remarkable home.

Whether you are interested in architecture, history or simply exploring one of Ohio’s architectural treasures, this free event offers a unique look inside a National Register historic landmark.
