Starting September 17, we’ll be in Our Fraternity Era.

Before we were the Robbins Hunter Museum, this house was home to two Denison University fraternities. Phi Gamma Delta—better known as FIJI—occupied the house from 1902 to 1930, followed by Kappa Sigma from 1930 to 1956.

If these walls could talk, the stories they would tell!

This limited-time exhibition explores more than five decades of fraternity life inside the Avery-Downer House through photographs, memorabilia, and stories of the Denison students who once called this house home.

Visitors will discover a fascinating chapter in the building’s history and learn more about the people, traditions, and experiences that shaped its fraternity years.

Join us for a first look at the exhibition. The reception is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will remain on view through October 8 during regular museum hours:

Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
1–4 pm

Admission to the museum and exhibition is free.
