Thirty-five years! An achievement for any institution to celebrate….and Robbins Hunter Museum is! My thoughts have turned back the clock...

Construction of the Dale and Tina Knobel Folly began this spring and is moving along briskly. Mark your calendars for the Dedication ceremony on August 26 as part of the Museum’s 35th anniversary celebration.
"In the fall we will plant more daffodils adding to the collection in honor of Jill and her love of the cheerful spring bloomers."
She marvels at the changes to the museum and its grounds over time. “It’s really spiffed up now,” she says. “It’s been evolving and still is!”
The notation of the date 1847 and the wording “Father to J. E. V.” provide a clue to the story of the chair...
Granville Garden Tour POSTPONED until June 16-17, 2017
Thirty-five years ago, thanks to the generosity of Robbins Hunter, Jr., the doors of this magnificent house opened to the public. Plan now for multiple visits to Granville's architectural jewel, the Robbins Hunter Museum.
What a wonder. This year as a woman vies to become the first woman president of the United States, the only other woman ever to seek this country's highest office was from just next door.
It is said that a garden is never so good as it will be next year. How very true! More than 5,000 Daffodils of many sizes and shapes will soon burst into bloom this spring for the Granville community and its visitors to enjoy as the museum kicks off its "Watch us Grow!" theme this spring.
We invite you to be among the friends who will visit the Robbins Hunter Museum during this holiday season. After several days and many hours of volunteer help, the rooms are dazzling and sure to inspire the spirit of the season. The Museum has never looked better!

The crows in town may not like it, but kids and adults alike will surely delight in an invasion of scarecrows this fall on the lawn of the museum.
Kevin Kerr, an RHM board member, tells the story of a damp, muddy day when a fund raising dinner and auction concluded, the guests went home, and a slight handful of people returned the next morning to finish cleaning up and to take down tables and chairs.
