Kappa Sig volunteers

The Avery Downer House has a number of volunteers who organize events, act as docents, help the Granville Garden Club, and lead a variety of other projects. Please contact the director for more information on how you can get involved.

DOCENT TRAINING 
    If you are interested in being a docent, please call or email the director, Ann Lowder. All interested adults are welcome, and training is provided.
    The Granville Museum Consortium (Denison Museum, the Granville Historical Society Museum and the Robbins Hunter Museum) runs ongoing docent training. All interested adults are invited to join for an opportunity to learn from each of the institutions.

    Classes meet on alternate Mondays at 9 am and move between the three museums.  Each session consists of study and discussion of the Docent Handbook published by the American Museum Association.  Another hour is spent working with a specific collection or issues related to a collection at the host museum.
